Forest Beat – Current Priority Update As we head towards the next quarter, here’s an update on the key issues we’ve been focusing on across the beat. We will also be reviewing and updating our Beat Priorities for April, May and June based on the concerns you continue to raise with us.
Drug Activity – Yates Close, Moira We have continued to carry out regular patrols and gather intelligence in response to reports of suspected drug dealing and associated ASB in the area.
We will keep working alongside partner agencies to identify those involved and put long term solutions in place. Inconsiderate Parking & Road Use – Local Primary Schools Over recent weeks we’ve been conducting high visibility patrols outside several primary schools following concerns about unsafe parking and road use during drop off and pick up times. We’ve been working with NWLDC enforcement teams and school staff to address hotspots, speak to drivers and promote safer behaviour. These patrols will continue, particularly at the start of the new term. Licensing Checks – Local Licensed Premises We have carried out a number of visits to local pubs and licensed venues in response to an increase in reports related to noise, behaviour and compliance. Working with licensing officers, we’ve been checking that conditions are being adhered to and offering guidance where needed to support a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
We appreciate everyone who has taken the time to report issues to us. Your feedback directly shapes the work we do. Beat Priorities for April, May and June will be published soon |
